our messy studio

Yesterday morning I had to finish this drawing, I really had a hard time doing this, because our studio is becoming a real mess. I thought there even was a smell. So after I had finished the drawing I spend the whole afternoon cleaning the studio. This is very difficult for me because the other person, with who I'm sharing the studio, "My loving and caring partner:)"does not seem to have trouble with messy studio's. He seems to like it. I will post some pictures of the mess to get some advice. Maybe some encouraging words for him, how he has to proceed now. Thank you! I hope I will get a lot of comments on this issue because it really is a problem:(

You place him in a foster home for a few days, and while he is away, you clean this mess.
I think this is the only solution.

Dag Danielle,

Dankje voor je reactie op mijn blog. Je maakt ook mooi werk!
Mijn atelier ligt er even rommelig bij, maar ik heb een excuus, te weinig plaats, jaja... ;)

You're so cold Danielle. I'm quite upset. Don't know why, but still...

What's going on? Are you having a virtual catfight?
I don't like this.....Why do you do it?
People should be nice to eachother, treat eachother with respect. No?
Anyway, that's what I try to tell my mum after every beating she gives me. Then she beats me again for being rude.
It never seems to end..........Oh boy.
Talking about my mum, maybe you should come and get her. She'd take care of business in your messy studio. And your partner will never be messy again after she's done with him.
Who is this Sophia anyway?

Things get messy whenever my "loving caring partner" is involved too! I agree with Sabine, maybe a foster home is the best solution. (:

Really though, I guess it's the old adage of a place for everything, and everything in it's place. If you can find system that works for both of you and stick to it, your problem is solved. I only wish I could stick to my own advice!

hmmmm, looks a little like my studio - I must get to that one day too. My studio gets used by my husband as a dressing room so as well as all of my mess it is strewn with shirts, ties, belts and smelly socks - blah! Thanks for directing me here - love your pussmans!

I guess everyone is suffering from a mess-problem once and a while. I have a tip for you, one that works for me/us, but it requires some reorganisation. Use one clean desk for the computers (and keep it clean), and one for the craftwork. Place the craftwork desk close (or against) a wall, and screw cups (or something like that) into that wall to store all the pencils, brushes, paint tubes, etc.

wish you all the luck!

I guess it is a sign of how hard you work:)

firstly your drawing is fabulous!

oh heheh.. i am rather messy in my crafting. i clean up once in ... a while. And then everything stays nice for a while before it all crumbles again. i do have a separate desk like what Ties suggested.

i am sure you guys will find a suitable arrangement soon.
